Through My Eyes
Born and raised in Wallace, Idaho, I moved to Alaska and spent the next 23 years living in the beautiful town of Haines. It was there that my love for photography grew into a passion and the grandeur of the land and it's wildlife became my canvas.
In the fall of 2013 I had the unique opportunity to go to Kaktovik, Alaska, a small Inuit Village on Barter Island, nestled against the Beaufort Sea. This is the land of the Polar Bears. A place where they come to forage for food until the pack ice freezes over and they can once again hunt for seals. I spent a week photographing these beautiful animals and it was one of the highlights of my life. It is through my eyes you can share in the beauty of The Great Land, it's scenic wonders, it's captivating wildlife, as well as the breathtaking allure of Idaho, Montana and beyond.
Through my photography and the world it encompasses I have been able to communicate with people of all backgrounds and lifestyles. Through my eyes others have been able to see glimpses of a world far different than their own.
The year 2008 was a pivotal year for me. That year I bought a Nikon D80 digital camera and started the journey that has taken me far beyond anything I could have imagined. I am a self taught photographer with a gift God granted me of envisioning scenes from my own unique perspective. Sharing that perspective with people is what I love and I hope to share with you all.
